Dr. Marte A. Martinez is a Board-Certified physician specializing in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine. He helps patients overcome pain using today’s most advanced techniques and evidence-based treatments. He holds certifications in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Originally from McAllen, Texas, Dr. Martinez earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. During his training, he presented research on neuromodulation and anesthesiology at national and international conferences. He also served as the national resident representative on the Chronic Pain Management Committee for the American Society of Anesthesiology.
After residency, he completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Martinez has published several articles on neuromodulation and continues to collaborate with an international research team. He also teaches vertebral augmentation techniques as an educator for Dannemiller and performs advanced ultrasound-guided injections for joint and soft tissue conditions. He is an active member of several medical societies and stays engaged in ongoing clinical innovation.
Dr. Martinez is married to his college sweetheart, Adrianna, and they have three daughters: Eva Isabel, Ana Sophia, and Leilah Emmanuelle. Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He believes in a collaborative approach to care, where both physician and patient work together to restore function and improve quality of life.
